Early antique Folk Art paintings,charcoal portraits Man and Wife c1790. This wonderful pair of early portraits were done in charcoal. Unsigned. This pair of Folk Art portraits are in period frames with original blown glass and paper mate. The images were not glued down but just taped to the mate. The portraits each measure 9 by 11 inches and the original fruitwood frames each measure 15 and three quarters by 19 and one half. The man has what looks like a card in his hand and the woman some needlework. They do appear to be American but we are not positive....SOLD....
