Connecticut cherry spade foot tripod tilt top candlestand c1800 American Connecticut cherry spade foot tripod base tilt top candlestand c1800. This candlestand is in mint condition. It retains its original old finish and dry untouched underneath. The top is a single board. The the tripod base is just the way we like to see them on stands from this period, with high arched legs ending in angled pointed spade feet. The only repair we can see is the tip of one of the feet has been broken and reglued. There are no missing pieces of wood, the piece went back together perfectly. Measures 30 inches high when closed, 43 when open. The single board top measures 20 by 19 and one half inches. Shipping extra. Made most probably in New Hampshire from birch with a hand waxed patina. Measures 74 and one quarter inches high, 36 and one half inches wide at base, and 36 and one half inches at the top drawers.
