Antique Estate Jewelry diamond bar pin c1890 Antique Estate Jewelry diamond bar pin c1890 to 1900. Because of its size and quality this is a very rare piece of American Victorian Jewelry measuring 4 and one quarter inches long by nine sixteenths inches wide. The six center European cut diamonds are graded S-1/H-I and weigh .48 carat total. They are surrounded by a circle of tiny simulated emeralds. These are original to the pin; colored glass and synthetic accent stones were commonly used in fine jewelry of this period. The entire length of the this bar pin is inset with 69 rose cut diamonds weighing .50 carat total. There is also a bow design on both the left and right side of the center. The diamonds are set in a thick layer of platinum over a base of 18k yellow gold. Outstanding craftsmanship. Very good condition with one old repair to a small area of one of the diamond bows. Rare matching pair French Restauration Period Bracelets Rare matching pair French Restauration Period Bracelets. Extremely rare pair of matching French restauration period 1824 to 1830 yellow 18 karat gold bracelets. Bracelets, generally made in pairs, were an invariable consituent of the "parure" or "suite" for much of the first three decades of the 19th century, worn on each arm, even two or three paris at the same time, throughout this period. This extravagant pair, would only have been worn to "balls" or official ceremonies, and were designed to be worn "above the gloves" on each arm as cuffs or assembled together as a "collier de chien" choker. The elements composed of repousse scrolls, volutes, and flower motifs stamped out and then assembled by hand. The delicacy and workmanship is beyond words. Over 20 grams per bracelet. Hallmarks: Belier 1819 to 1838 Paris.
