| Antique Swords,German Infantry Short Sword model 1848 with Brass and Leather Scabbard. This" German sword" was used essentially by the German Army up through and including the Prussian War of 1871. Blade is marked on the ricasso "PDL" in a dotted circle.. Overall length is 25 inches. The blade is 19 inches long and the scabbard length is 19 and three eighths inches. There are a couple of marks on the blade, otherwise it is in excellent condition. The butt of the handle contains a marking which appears to be a crown above a D. SOLD....ATTENTION !
