| Empire furniture, French Second Empire sofa. This wonderful French Empire sofa is in pristine original condition. Dates from circa 1870 with splay legs. The malachite green cut velvet upholstery is historically appropriate and in excellent condition. This sofa retains its original bronze ormolu ornamental mountings. Extremely well made. Elegant and formal but comfortable.
